#1:-Finances
Finances are released each week during the regular season and pre-season period. The following guide will help you get an understanding of the various ways that finances will affect your club. They are available to view either from your club page or from the downloads bar at the top of the forum.

#2:-Income & Expenditure
UCFL sides will receive income from gate receipts, player sales, writing media, prizes, TV and sponsorship money.

UCFL sides will spend money on wages, stadium upgrading, player purchases and training players.

#3:-Gates income guide
League ? all gates go to home teams
Playoff ? all gates go to the home team with the final being split 50:50 as neutral
FVM - always split gates
JUS - always split gates
PFA league - all gates go to home teams apart from final when 50:50 as neutral
PFA cup - all gates go to home teams apart from final when 50:50 as neutral

#4:-Debt
Debt is not encouraged within the league, however clubs can enter into debt through general running costs such as wages. If you wish to buy a player during the playing season, you must make sure you have the funds in place to allow the deal or it will not be processed.

During the pre-season period, clubs can enter into debt should they wish through buying players from either clubs or via the auction, however, this debt must be cleared by the finance run following the fifth round of league games.

If a side is in debt before the first game of the season (and did some transfers during pre-season) then that side would need to clear all it's debts by the round 5 debt deadline in the schedule.

If a club is not in debt at round 1 but then makes non-transfer related losses between round 1 and the round 5 debt deadline then they would not be required to clear their debt at the round 5 debt deadline in the schedule.

Should a team be in debt after the fifth round of games due to transfers (not running costs i.e. wages) the FA can step in to sell one of the club's best players to cover the debt, usually by way of a debt auction.

Clubs can earn a maximum of $1.5m per week through a combination newspapers or build-ups/reaction forum posts. The payments as of sason 26 are as follows;

Papers:
1 x 200 words or more 750k
1 x 400 words or more 1.5m
2 x total of 400 words or more 1.5m ie: 1 x 250 plus 1 x 150 = 1.5m

Buildup/Reaction and such areas:
25 words min, 250k each.

Managerless sides will be allocated the full $1.5m per week to assist with running costs.

For end of season finances you can generate income for you club of up to 9m, however this is purely from Paper, not banter. Therefore 6 full-length paper posts wil generate the maximum of $9m EOS media revenue. There is a maximum of 10 EOS papers counting towards the season's media counts.

It is possible at any stage to build up an excess of two weeks worth of media. For example, you could write 2 400 word news reports in week 1 and receive full media "money" for weeks 1 and 2 without writing a further report in week 2. It is possible to carry forward the two weeks of excess media, but these will be lost at the next preseason if unused.
